What is a word unscrambler?
A word unscrambler takes a jumble of letters and finds every real word hiding inside it. Type in the letters you've got — from a rack in Scrabble, a puzzle in Wordscapes, or just letters you're stuck staring at — and it instantly lists every valid word you could play, longest and highest-scoring first.
Use it to check a word before you play it, find the longest word your letters allow, or
just learn a few new ones along the way. The ? or * wildcard
stands in for a blank tile, so it'll match any letter in that spot.

Privacy policy
This tool runs entirely in your browser. There's no account, no server storing your searches, and nothing you type is ever sent anywhere — the word list and matching all happen locally on your device.
Local storage only
We save one thing on your device: your light/dark mode preference. It never leaves your browser.
Privacy-friendly analytics
We use Plausible to count visits in aggregate. It's cookie-free, collects no personal data, and can't identify you individually or see what you typed or searched.
Third-party fonts
Page fonts load from Google Fonts, which may see your IP address as part of that request, per Google's own policies.
Clicking a word only copies it to your own device's clipboard — that action stays local too. This policy may be updated as the tool changes.
